The mymulti weekly and longer term tickets always provide unlimited bus and ferry travel over all 3 zones. The extent of rail travel is restricted to within the zonal boundaries identified on the tickets by the numerals 1, 2 or 3. This can be summarised very easily as follows:

mymulti 1 = unlimited rail within zone 1, unlimited bus/ferry 1-2-3
mymulti 2 = unlimited rail within zones 1 and 2, unlimited bus/ferry 1-2-3
mymulti 3 = unlimited all modes, all zones.

It requires some close interpretation of the different myzone brochures to actually reveal this because the design of the mymulti tickets gives no clues as to their actual availabilities. In the Sydney metropolitan area the Zone 1 boundary corresponds to that of the former Red Travelpass. The Zone 2 boundary corresponds to that of the former Pink Travelpass. This aspect of the mymulti tickets availabilities is shown in publicity material using illustrations of the previous Travelpasses with their singular mymulti replacements.

The mymulti Daypass is valid for unlimited travel on all modes in all 3 zones.

Longer term mymulti tickets (monthly, quarterly and yearly) are ONLY available from railway station booking offices or on-line internet sales.

A final item of note for mymulti tickets is taken directly from a publicity brochure here...
