Rail/Bus Single card was used for "one single rail and bus trip on the co-ordinated ESR services as advertised" and issued from booking offices and specific purpose vending machines.
These machines were not located at Bondi Junction or Edgecliff as it is these stations that the co-ordinated bus routes fed into.

The UT 2/81 and UT 3/81 were printed in distinctly different shades. The three month validity notice has been deleted from the front.
Of interest is the fact that the term "Commission" had been retained some 8 months after the creation of the State Rail Authority.

A new front design was in use by the UT5/82 printing. The rear wording at the fourth point was altered.
